Our collaboration with the Vaal Central Water Board marks a pivotal moment in the reg ion’s water infrastructure development. Tasked with overseeing critical projects within the Matjhabeng area, our partnership assumes a crucial role in fulfilling the intervention mandate identified by the Minister of Water & Sanitation. On 1 July 2022 when the Department of Water and Sanitation integrated Sedibeng Water operations in the Free State and Northern Cape, extending the Vaal Central Water Board’s area of supply to encompass Marquassi Hills. Subsequently, on 15 July 2022, the Department of Water & Sanitation entrusted the Vaal Central Water Board with the responsibility of serving as the Implementing Agent for various essential projects.

Vaal Central Water Board issued a panel tender to obtain professional service providers to execute critical projects in the newly acquired area of supply. Henry Fagan Consulting Engineers & Project Managers (Henry Fagan) was appointed by Vaal Central Water Board to undertake the scope and tasks of the PMO, and to act as an extension of the Vaal Central Water Board pool of resources. Henry Fagan is the lead Professional Service Provider appointed to establish and manage a fully-fledged and capacitated Project Management Office for the management, supervision, quality assurance, auditing, oversight and reporting of the various Projects being executed by the appointed Panel of Professional Service Providers and Contractors and any other service providers that the client may appoint under the Sanitation Intervention programme in Matjhabeng.
