MEGA PROJECT

The project was initiated after a fire broke out and caused damage to the Old Assembly Building at the Parliament Precinct. Damages were further exacerbated by water entering the building through the fire prevention efforts and the winter rains. The main goal is to protect the Grade 1 National Status as outlined in the National Heritage Resources Act 25 of 1999. The objective is the repair and restoration of the Old Assembly Building. Henry Fagan Consulting Engineers & Project Managers (Henry Fagan) has been appointed to plan and oversee the implementation of the Fire Remedial Works at the Old Assembly Building in the Parliament Precinct Project.
