Portswood Tunnel

Portswood Tunnel is a 150-year-old structure in the heart of Cape Town at the V&A Waterfront, where Henry Fagan was tasked to evaluate the structure as well as design and manage remedial measures required.

The construction of the tunnel comprises sidewalls, approximately 1.8m high built-in rock with a thickness of approximately 500mm.
