Connection to the sea and a relaxed holiday atmosphere are fundamental to this project. The brief was to place a large open ground floor living space, the main bedroom and a double garage downstairs. The garage, where water sports equipment is stored, was to be readily accessible to the beach and link visually to the living area. From the garage, double doors and a ramp provide direct access to the beach.

Four self-sufficient bedrooms on the upper level were provided with a lockable lobby at entrance level. Loadbearing brickwork supports the reinforced concrete arched first floor slab, with the support walls and upper level dividing walls all aligning to provide an efficient structural system. The vaulted structure accommodates large opening sliding doors, connecting the living spaces to the terrace and forming a generous outdoor entertainment area.
