Designed by architect Arno Church, the 5-star Cape Royale Luxury Hotel embodies the sophistication of Europe while embracing the vibrancy of Africa. This prestigious hotel-development on the site of Cape Town’s Claridges Hotel site consists of 3 storeys of basement parking with 7 storeys of hotel accommodation above, including roof top gardens and a pool.

Inside the residential floors are split by full- height atriums while a number of lightweight steel ‘sky-bridges’ connect across. The structural design and analysis allowed for seismic considerations. Post tensioned slabs were also utilised to limit weight. Completed in 2007, the regal structure has become a popular destination for both local and international guests.
