Description

Chitabe Camp is a luxurious bush getaway in the South Eastern part of the Okavango Delta, nestled on an island of ancient trees. Raised walkways join the public buildings and bedroom suites that are carefully positioned between the trees, navigating through the natural environment without disrupting the natural, African views. All structures are built on steel pad foundations with short pipes driven in with a jackhammer to form mini piles. No concrete was used – everything can easily be removed one day for the veld and trees to return to their natural state without a trace of anything ever having been there.
